From Sunrise Hustle to Sunset Closings: A Day in the Life of a Realtor on the Emerald Coast
They say the early bird gets the worm—but on the Emerald Coast, the early bird might also get a signed contract before breakfast.
Welcome to a behind-the-scenes look at a day in my life as a Realtor on Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast. From 4 AM journaling to late-night negotiations, no two days are the same—but every day is full of purpose, people, and a whole lot of hustle.
5:00 AM – The Quiet Hour
Before the world wakes up, I do. This is my sacred hour. I brew a cup of strong coffee, crack open my journal, and start my day in gratitude and prayer. This time is everything—it centers me in faith, keeps me grounded, and gives me the clarity I need to lead my clients and my family well.
After journaling, I map out my to-do list. Listing appointments, showings, follow-ups, negotiations, it all gets outlined, prioritized, and time-blocked before the sun even thinks about rising.
6:00 AM – Mom Mode Activated
By 6:00 AM, it’s go-time on the home front. I get my daughter ready for school—backpacks, breakfast, the whole production. Yes, even the occasional missing shoe emergency. Being a mom is my most important role, and those quiet moments in the morning car line are some of my favorite of the day.
7:30 AM – Real Estate in Full Swing
With the house quiet and coffee #2 in hand, I dive into emails, confirm showing schedules, prep MLS listings, and respond to buyer inquiries. If there’s a closing that day (and let’s be honest, there often is), I double-check the timeline and loop in lenders, title, and agents to make sure everything is on track.
8:00 AM – Partners on the Back Scene
My virtual executive assistant is already working behind the scenes—coordinating calendar tasks, confirming appointments, and ensuring our CRM is up to date. She's also managing deadlines tied to active transactions: making sure inspections are scheduled, contingencies are tracked, and lender updates are logged so nothing falls through the cracks.
At the same time, my marketing director is reviewing ad performance, prepping fresh social content, and making sure every active and upcoming listing shines online with sharp copy, beautiful photos, and strategic placement. Whether we’re launching a new listing or nurturing one under contract, the coordination between marketing and operations is key to keeping every deal smooth from contract to close.
9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon – On the Road Again
From Gulf-front condos in Destin to cozy cottages in Santa Rosa Beach, I spend most of my mornings on the road. Showings, listing consultations, video walkthroughs—you name it. The Emerald Coast has so much variety, and I love helping my clients find the home that fits their lifestyle.
Every home has a story, and it's my job to help tell it.
1:00 PM – Content & Closings
Midday is a mix of content creation and contract execution. I’ll record a quick video for a new listing or hop on a Zoom to update a buyer on inspection timelines. Sometimes I’m walking a lot, filming a Reel, or reviewing a CMA before presenting a strong offer.
If a property is going under contract (or closing!), you’ll probably catch me in a celebratory mood, doing a little happy dance outside a title office with keys in hand.
2:00 PM – School Pickup & Sweet Moments
Around 2 PM, it’s time to hit pause on real estate (briefly!) and switch back to Mom Mode. I pick up my daughter from school, and we usually grab a late lunch together—sometimes it’s Chick-fil-A, sometimes it’s our favorite local spot. These are the moments that matter most—just catching up, hearing about her day, and laughing together before I jump back into the real estate rhythm.
3:00 PM – Afternoon Hustle
This is the “zone” part of my day: negotiating repairs, reviewing offers, touching base with my team. I might be prepping an email campaign, filming an IG story, or reviewing photos that just came back from a drone shoot.
My phone is glued to my hand at this point. But that’s the job—and I love it.
5:00 PM – Family Time + Follow-Up
By late afternoon, I shift gears again—checking in with my daughter after school, helping with homework, prepping dinner (or more likely, ordering DoorDash). While we hang out, I sneak in a few follow-up calls or reply to late emails. Real estate never really “clocks out,” but I try to be intentional with family time whenever possible.
9:00 PM – Wind Down & Reflect
By 9:00 PM, I’m reflecting, praying, and preparing for the next day. I update my to-do list, check for any last-minute schedule changes, and close the day the way I started: with gratitude.
The Takeaway
Being a Realtor on the Emerald Coast is more than just contracts and closings. It’s about relationships. It’s about community. And it’s about showing up—early, often, and with heart.
Whether I’m handing over keys, guiding a family through a tough transition, or helping someone buy their very first home, I know I’m doing the work I was called to do. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Want a Realtor who brings energy, experience, and excellence every single day?
Let’s talk. I’d love to help you write the next chapter of your Emerald Coast story.
