From Sunrises to Seafood: Your Summer guide to the Coast!

☀️ Your Summer Bucket List for Life on the Emerald Coast 🐚
Because paradise deserves to be fully experienced..

When Is Summer on the Emerald Coast?
Summer on the Emerald Coast officially runs from late May through September, but truthfully, we start feeling those beachy vibes by Memorial Day weekend and keep them going well into the warm, golden days of early fall. Peak months are June, July, and August—prime time for beach days, boat rides, and all the sunshine-fueled adventures you can dream of.

Whether you're a long-time local, new to the area, or dreaming of making the Emerald Coast your home, So grab your sunnies and your flip-flops—here’s your guide to make every day feel like a mini vacation:

1. Catch a Sunrise at Henderson Beach State Park
Start the day with salt air and serenity. Beat the crowds and head to Henderson Beach for a peaceful walk as the sun rises over the dunes. It’s free therapy with a view.

2. Hit the Crab Island Sandbar
No Emerald Coast summer is complete without anchoring at Crab Island. Rent a pontoon, gather your people, and float the day away with music, inflatable slides, and floating food vendors. Just don’t forget sunscreen and snacks.

3. Dine Dockside at Dewey Destin’s or Boshamps
Fresh Gulf shrimp. Fried oysters. A cold drink in your hand and your toes in the sand. Whether you’re in Destin, Fort Walton, or Miramar Beach—dockside dining is a must.

4. Plan a Sunset Beach Picnic
Pack a charcuterie board, some twinkle lights, and a blanket—and head to the beach about an hour before sunset. Don’t forget your camera; that golden-hour glow over the Gulf is next-level.

5. Explore 30A by Bike
Take a day trip and cruise the Timpoochee Trail. Stop for coffee in Seaside, shop local in Grayton, and snap a pic in front of The Truman Show house. You’ll get a workout and a postcard-worthy experience.

6. Book a Dolphin Cruise or Fireworks Boat Tour
Whether you opt for daytime dolphin-spotting or a night cruise timed with Destin Harbor fireworks, there’s something magical about seeing the coast from the water.

7. Attend a Summer Festival or Farmers Market
From HarborWalk’s weekly events to Grand Boulevard's concerts under the stars, there’s always something happening. Local tip: The Seaside Farmers Market on Saturdays is full of local charm and great eats.

8. Snag a Sunset Photo at The Jetties
Locals know this is one of the most photogenic spots in Destin. Perfect for family photos, engagement shoots, or just a dreamy selfie—especially when that cotton candy sky kicks in.

9. Indulge in a Late-Night Beach Bonfire
S’mores, stories, and stargazing. Several local companies can set up a full beach bonfire for you (complete with chairs, fire pit, and even tiki torches). It’s the ultimate summer night vibe.

10. Jump into a New Water Sport
Try paddleboarding in the bay, kayaking through coastal dune lakes, or even booking a surf lesson. When in paradise, why not learn something new?

✨ Bonus: Fall in Love with a Beach House 😉
Whether you’re thinking of staying for the summer—or forever—there’s nothing like owning your piece of the Emerald Coast. I know a great local agent who can help you find it. (👋 Hi, it’s me.)

Ready to check these off your list?
Summer is short, but memories on the Emerald Coast last forever. Whether you're a weekend warrior or a full-time beach bum, make this your best season yet.

🌊 See you on the sand.
